This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Gotta agree with FFF. The trout and salmon come across as too fishy and oily tasting.
Whitefish ARE too bland though--no taste.
I prefer bass pike pic and perch better and probably perch over crappie.
We usually don't eat perch though, we use them for bait.

And Markus--you should try eating some of the fish you catch!!--they taste better and are fresher than the ones at the grocery store. honestly!!!

ohhhh, I'll think about it. But even if I could bring myself to remove one from our systems....I don't think i could get by the chemical populiton and contaminents.

Perhaps after a stiff bud lite, someone will catch me in a moment of weakness and slip a bite sized fillet on my plate at the Spring Adventure weekend.

I heard there's a guy named jazman that can feed the whole group just by fishing from the dock!

Crappies or Perch

Post by Jigs »

Gotta be crappies.

Most of them are larger than any perch I catch and easier to fillet.

Fryem in canola with Jigs's home made batter. Pretty tastey.

Nothing wrong with pike, pickerel, bass, trout either.

Course we let the big ones go   all the time.

Regards: Jigs

I have heard of this "Dock Legend" that goes by the name "Jazman".....

Markus, I promise, I will be on full look out so that no one slips a peice of fish onto your plate

Though I have recently developed an allergic reaction to fish  The best tasting fish I have everhad by far was @ a restaurant close to Cornwall where the served "Lancaster Perch"in a beer batter, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, geez I really miss the taste!!!And they had the best coleslaw ever!!!!

I'm pretty much the same way FFF!

Aside from a good feed of Wallie, Perch or Crappie....Well, come to think of it, Brookies, Bows and Small Lakers too, I can't stand the stuff :!:  ...
