I have a fishing trip planed for Brandy Lake its for the May 24 weekend. I have heard that there are some pretty good size Pike & walleye in this lake. Since it's the first time fishing this lake, I was wondering if anybody has fished this paticular body of water. Its in the Muskoka's. So any info that can be provided buy you pro's out there would be a welcome.
I promise that I will post pictures, weather I'm blessed by the fish god's or not. So if anyone can give up some info on this lake it sure could come in handy. I'm looking for a Topo on this lake too. If I remember to bring the GPS this time I'll map it out so I can in turn offer up some info on this lake to you if need be...
A good friend of mine has a cottage on that lake. He has done well on the walleye and pike. His favourite tactic is original floating rapalas on rock points, from what he has told me. They also get quite a few on live sucker minnows fished near any available weeds.
And here's something most don't believe, a friend of mine took a trip to that lake, fishing at dusk and caught 2 nice walleye in a row on a chartruese BUZZBAIT! Right on the surface. I've never heard of walleye being so aggressive.
Sorry I don't know more, I've never been there myself but I hear a lot from my friend who cottages there. Apparently the old Mister Twister/jighead produces too on drop offs.
