Not sure if it's a prerequiste cause you might find out later that she's all for it. so tuck yerself in and here's a story for ya......
I, being a "chick", fish. I did when i was a kid, and didn't in the middle years. but since MT got his first boat - a little 14' aluminum with more holes than a piece'o'swiss cheese - he's hounded me to go out with him.
a few years ago - when i was 29
- he took me to the headpond in arnprior, we go out a bit, not far from shore, and he opens up the 'ol tackle box and starts rootin' round. at the time i didn't do nothing, set me up and i'll fish. so i thought he was setting me up. next thing i know he pops out a ring box, i open it, it's a "promise" ring he gave me back when the mammoths still roamed the earth.
then he got down on one knee - hard to do in that little boat full'o'holes, and he askes me to marry him. didn't have to think about it, had actually been waiting for EVER! said yes right away.
he takes the box, pulls out the part the ring sits in and turns it over, there's the most beautiful engagement ring i've ever seen - i cried - i'm not a cryer.
thinking about it now though, and knowing MT, he probabley hid the big boy incase i said no! that way he could take it back and get that motor he keeps telling my i'm wearing on my ring finger! ever since i've been a real fan of fishing - still hoping for a matching set of earings!! eheheheh - no, really love fishing now, and let him go as often as i can.
the above statements do prove true, specially #2!!!!1) She says that I stay out too long ...
2) She says that ladies can`t just pee over the side of the boat....
3) She hates it when I get upset for her outfishing me... it happens a lot too.
and let me add #4 - no matter what time he says he'll be home tack on an extre 3 hours!!!
