Skooter couldn't agree more and Ganman feels the same how many rods can you have tackled to go at one time? Great lakes downrigging you can run two lines per angler that falls in the 1 to 3 rods per angler, but 64% of respondents have 4 or more rods per angler in the boat, not fishing all of them at the same time how do you store/ secure them anyone got some pics? The 10 plus guys must be tourny anglers how do you keep that many and not get hooked up or messed up? Interesting to see I could learn something here.

One thing that my 15ft deep-v legend boat is missing is decent storage space. If i'm in the boat alone i put a few rods at the back of the boat out of harms way otherwise they're all on the right hand side of the front deck. I keep them velcroed in place running from the front of the boat to the right hand side of the drivers console. This way they're all at hand and don't bang around when bouncing over the waves. I think 7 rods will be my limit otherwise there'd be too many and i'd be tripping over them.fishforfun wrote:How do you store/ secure them anyone got some pics? Not the best but this'll give you a better idea:

I'm sure those with 10+ rods have bass boats with rod lockers capable of storing many rods and they'll keep a few rods out on the deck secured in place.
Here's a typical bass boat layout... the rod lockers are on both sides of the front deck:

Also many have the ability to lock down rods to the deck itself:
