Outdoors Card

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Outdoors Card

Post by Pints »

Here is the answer to my e-mail to the MNR regarding an Outdoors card for those under 18, and those over 65.

Those under the age of 18 and over the age of 65 do not
require an Outdoors Card for fishing. If we were to issue cards
for these people we will need to charge them a fee. This way there is
no fee involved.

Has everyone else had a long wait between "buying" their card and receiving it in the mail? I bought mine just before New Years and haven't received the card yet.

Got mine in a week and a half as well. I did mine over the internet; I imagine this way is quicker.

Plus, the e-print license is great; too bad this wasn't in place years ago.

Cheers,

Scott

What did you do to them slushpuppy? If you've made an enemy, you picked the wrong people to mess with!!! haha

I called for mine just before Christmas and received it withing two weeks . . . there was a spelling mistake in my name, so I called to get it fixed, and the guy had it to me the same week. Best phone service of any company I've dealt with so far.

Maybe someone stole it and is out there fishing with your card right now!!!

Can someone provide the link for ordering the outdoor card online? I already have the card, but just want to renew for 3 years. Can you do this online?

Thanks,

HW

I just called the Outdoor Card Centre (1-800-387-7011) to inquire about getting my new card. They said cards renewed through a store will normally take 2 1/2 to 3 months. Ooof! Luckily, I have the temporary license (paper). Here is what the paper license says:

"This license expires Dec 31, 2005. You will receive a plastic Outdoors Card before year end."

Looks like doing it online is the way to go...

After thinking about it....I bet all our card requests are still in the binder at the store....they won't be sending it in until they have a substantial amount....

Oh well....the paper is fine for now.....not that I've ever been asked!
