Oh well, something to work for this year!

Hello steve-hamilton...

Here is the big one I landed on Sept 2 2004 at Port Hope. It was just over 30lbs. This was my first trip out of Port Hope for lake Salmon....and thanks to help and tips from Big-O I landed a nice one

were ya in the derby? hope so! i bet that would have snagged ya a grand for sure! man what a fish....

what did u keep it for? (not ragging, but i'm curious what to do with a 30 lbs Salmon, i'm sure you didn't eat it)

Our biggest fish, after the fight, took close to 20 minutes to revive....Pigs use all their energy!

NICE FISH!

Steve...I launched right out of Port Hope, last year was my first year targetting Salmon from my own boat, with the help from Xenos, we got lucky....we went out for the first time on July 11/04...but the locals told me the bite was hot in early June. I plan to hit Port Hope a little earlyer this year....Rac Spoons seem to be the ticket # 34(Blueberry Muffin)#81 (Greasy Chicken Wing)my personal Favorite # 32(Purple Passion)there were several others that work on different days #91, #33, #92 ,#88

There are a few that will be going for Salmon this year....RJ and Gordo, WIG, MuskieMagnet, Xenos, Rider, Hoser I think would be going, Markus and a few others, I hope to see a small convoy of Hawk- Talkers going down the 401 to :D :D

big-o....I'm there again this year. got the bug with that 29 pounder. Scrape the ice off my tent at the launch and come in for a coffee next time. Man, it was cold last time I watched you back the boat into the water at 4:30 AM.

No monster sizes for me this past year, but a few nice fish. Here's a decent pike nabbed while fishing with my pal, Gorfman, on Wolfe Lk.

Need to learn to hold them properly, but here is that small but memorable tiger musky caught on my B'day last September. Great markings!

Mepps2Lou,

Thx for the kind words. I love taking Ty out with me... and when all the planets are in alignment  and we hook into some hot action, it's just the best time! He really wants another good pike this year (pic of the 26" pike he got this summer was on regular film) and wants to get a catfish, too. Now that he's on a derby team, the competitiveness might be the extra fuel to fan the fishing flame in that kid!
