Fishing with WIG!!!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Fishing with WIG!!!

Post by Manny »

Today, I had the pleasure of fishing with one of the greatest gentlemen that I have had the honour of meeting, Rob aka WIG.

Fishing was sporadic but we still managed a few walleyes. How many?? Don't know for sure since we weren't counting but I would say definatly more then 15 but less then 20.

The action started off OK until we hit a dry spell. Then we decided to start hole-hopping. This is when IT happened. The bonus fish, the kicker, the fish that makes you giggle like a school girl and feel like a 5 year old kid again.

Wig gets to a new hole and let's his line drop to the bottom. His jigging rap just hit the bottom when, fish-on. This fish is fighting wierd   , his rod is bouncing around all over the place and looks like a good fish. "You got a ling Rob" - "Well, it ain't a walleye" - "You got a ling Rob" - "Shut up Manny   " Then it comes too the hole, HOLY S%$/. Expecting a slimy ling, we are blinded by the beauty of a 14-15 inch Brown trout. Few pics (I can't post mine so will be waiting on WIG's) and we start fishing again.

Action was slow for the rest of the day. You get to a hole, drop your line, catch one walleye and miss another right off the bat then nothing else. Also caught 5 perch.

Anyways, that's that. Action was slower the anticipated, this spot got hit pretty hard this year and the results are showing it but it was a mild day and great company. WIG, I hope you made it back OK. Will have to do it again, ANYTIME.

Man what a blast! And Manny forgot to mention..it was a first for me..My first Brownie :!: What a shock. He was as shocked to see it as I was

Manny thanks a million again for a great day! You're right, we'll do it again many times I'm sure. You'll have to come out down here too!

Now for the sad news, as you all remember, I'm having computer issues and won't have it fixed until likely Thursday..

I can't post the photos off my camera until it's fixed...#&@$!*&..wouldn't you know it. But you will see them...And Manny, that beauty measured exactly 16".

We threw a lot of smaller 'eyes back but what a day!

Manny thanks again!!
