Cant get Avator small enough to put up?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Spence, to make it simple, you can send it to me and I can shrink it for you.

So if you don't want to bother somebody by having them do it for you, what's the easiest\quickest way to shrink down a picture? My mind is stuck in the pre-computer era ( I still own a couple of 8-Tracks).

Here's a tip a buddy taught me...

Use myfishingpictures.com for this one....

upload to them....full picture....then open your album....right click on the thumbnail photo....cut and paste that into your profile area where it says to load from another url.....works like a charm....

it also doesn't clutter up Fish-Hawks photo gallery with thumbnail photos...

Bobber will like that...

Hi RJ. I took your advise about "myfishingpictures.com", and successfully uploaded a picture to the site. The problem now is that when I right-click on the thumbnail photo, the "cut" and "paste" options are not active (unavailable)....of course every other option is. The picture is way too large as it is. I was going to try the "copy shortcut" option on the thumbnail picture, but thought better of it. Thanks anyway.

trex,

before you right click for "copy & paste" option, don't you need to right click for "PROPERTIES"? I think that's how I do it. I'm so bad at computer stuff, but that's how I do it...I think...

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Trex,

When you right click it in your album....it should be a thumbnail in there.....just go down to properties....thats the url line you need....

Trex,

When you right click the thumb nail, you have to highlight the URL line before you'll get the "cut" and "paste" options!

...I'm having trouble also. All my thumbnails seem to be over 100 pixels tall and can't reduce it. I tried the URL paste also and only see the dreaded X. Bobber, Fishhawk, Markus, anybody, help the digitally challenged one!

rats, are you doing it from myfishingpictures too? If you are, then you have to be in your gallery before you right click for the URL. And yes, they will be 100 x 75.

Again, you right click the thumb nail, highlight the URL line, then "copy" and "paste" that into the "load" you image from another URL in your profile...

...that's when I get the dreaded X...it's hopeless...all is lost! Not really...just frustrating. Perhaps I should ask my five year old to help!
