Don't tease Bob, just get on board. The more the merrier and I'm hoping we get our numbers up to 15 people. Still some room for ya.Bobber wrote:This thread should be fixed now.
Thanks for letting me know it was wacky......and yes I want to go. Don't think I can....but who knows.

Yep, it's too bad it's such a long time away but I think it's great to see the enthusiasm at this point... now that I can actually see your posts on-line. Thanks Bobber for fixing us up here.
I like option #1 as well for our last night. Simply staying at the lodge, getting another awesome meal, a good night sleep and then a full breakfast makes the long flight home and airport business alot easier to tolerate. Last season I think we got about a 2pm flight so getting away from the lodge around 10am was comfortable.
Fishing mornings start pretty early. I know a few of you Great Lake guys will have no problems, and Salmon, if it's sturgeon that you're after I think they can figure a way for you to fish them all 5 days if you like. And thanks for offering to take the DD seat, might need you in it but, really I'd rather fish out there than get too out of hand.
bts pm'd me and wants on board with us. That brings the total to 9. I was mistaken thinking that full lodge capacity was 12. A couple things set me off, but full lodge capacity is actually 15-16 people. At this point why not try and fill the lodge as I mentioned earlier. If you know people outside of the board and want to ask them to come along I figure why not. Unless most of us agree to keep it in the Fish-Hawk group only. I have 2 people off the board I'd like to ask if you guys don't mind..?
I left Frank a message last night to just confirm that it be OK we make the deposits due June 1st. If we book the 6th night as it looks like we're planning, we may have to pay a little more than $440 for the deposit, because we'll owe the 25% on the $129 I am presuming.
I also let Frank know to reserve the dates Aug 26 to Sept 1. It's such a long time away I don't think anyone could know what they're doing then otherwise, and, I don't want any excuses come trip time that the boss wouldn't give you the time off, the boss should have enough notice.
Now, to discuss trip 2009
kidding.

I've been watching this tread with envy. I have to be honest this has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. Now I saw this when it first came up last week and mentioned to my better half of how good of an idea it is to be planning so far ahead as it makes it so much easyer to save the cash. ( not may have 3 grand to spare at any time )
I actually stayed away from it all week, well with the problems I had posting on the site sure didnt' help. Now I decided to have a look and see how many have signed up. I was amased to see that many had signed up and after reading all the pages, first 2 before breakfast where I kinda mentioned once again to the better half on how great on an idea it was and that so many guys had already signed on. I finished reading the last 2 pages and signed off to the next message board. As the site was loading I said to the better half, " don't you have somewhere you would want to go for a week in 07? " She says you want to go? I tell her this may just be my one oportunity to do such a dream trip, I can't see myself finding 1 or 3 guys to go with any time soon. She ask how much was the deposit and when was the balance due.
Well holly crap in under 1 minute this went from a dream to reality. I am in if you guys will have me.
I think looking at all possibilities when it comes to the flight part is a good idea. I am aware that many carriers offer better rates if you stay overnight Saturday night and then Westjet should be a better alternative to Air Canada with a lower rates and closer proximity of the airport. I guess this can be done in 2007 as I certainly won't be paying for a flight to anywhere with any airline 1 year ahead of time much less 2.5. LOL
P.S. Me too my priority would be for the Sturgeon fishing over anything else. Basicly as a trophy muskie angler the bigger the better. Maybe something can be set up to have a few guys do this and that as there preferences.
P.S.S. I didn't have a chance to even look at the website which I will do right now but I believe the possibilities are there to shore fish after the guided fishing is done for the day? maybe that will be a way to tangle with a few different species.

Glad to hear it come together for ya Trophy Muskie. The big draw for me for this trip is the Sturgeon as well. Everytime a fishing show comes on with Sturgeon fishing I'm like a kid in a candy store. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=Z ... Bump.
Note: In the quest for more participants I'll be keeping this post page 1 for some time.
Hey folks, there are still some spaces available for this trip. So far we have a great group of guys planned to go along. This will be a great guided fishing getaway in beautiful BC, and we'll be staying at a most spectacular lodge with all sorts of comforts and delicious meals.
Markus, Salmon, TrophyMuskie, CB, WIG, Hoss, bts, Big-O, Laker_Taker, John and myself are in so far, and why not add your name to the list.
Please pm me if you are interested and/or require more details.
