The House of Fillets

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

The House of Fillets

Post by Markus »

The House of Fillets (my ice hut) is almost complete. :P

I just have to notch my runners and install a few support 2x4's to support the floor and it'll be ready to strap together. I've spent the past couple of days building all the panels in my rec room. Once it's together, i'll just need some ice...shouldn't be long now.

All are welcome at the House of Fillets!

6 holes. Perfect for a family of 4. And for those who are blessed with daughters, as I am, I'm installing a little toilet seat in one of the benches.

I'm no carpenter, but I'm happy with it so far. I'll post some pics when it's finally complete.

:) No doubt, the HOF will be parked near EC-10.

If you want some ideas about the weedlines there, drop me a pm, I've got the area sized up pretty nice.

(Nice touch on the crapper!)

Considering it's an ice shack, would've thought you'd go with Cooler of Death 2 :!:

WIG, the cooler of death is a limited edition. There will be no series with it.

The House of Fillets is completely assembled now. It looks great! The kids and Pink Lady are a little reved up about enjoying lots of ice fishing this winter. Tomorrow, i'll mount the door on and give er a good coat of paint.....i'll work on the benches inside later on. Thanks to Jammer I have a good supply of black barn paint for the job.

I'll share a picture tomorrow....it was too dark to snap one tonight after I screwed on the roof.

Hi Markus,
Sounds like you've been workin hard, have you got something to heat it?
I'm toying with the idea of coming down for a visit once you get it in production......just wondering, how would I get out to where you are...or even find where you're at? :? I know where EC10 is, if that's where you'll be.

Skooter. You're most welcome to join me for a day, or if I can't make it - just stop at my place for the key and head down on your own. I'll have my gps coordinates as to where to find the House of Fillets. If you don't have a gps, you'll welcome to borrow my hand held for the day too. I'm sure that if you gave the operators a few bucks, you could arrange a ride out and pick up time....unless you like long walks.

I'm planning on heating it with propane. I'd like to find a nice burner that a frying pan can rest on, but until then, I'll just use one of those heater types.
