Taylor park today

Post by iankrzyzanowski »

Well tony and i launched form taylor park, on the water at 315 and by 440 tony's rod looked like it was gonna snap in half!!

Great fight, she just kept diggin and fighting really hard!! Then to make things more exciting the clacker on ym reel starts going, another muskie on........ we let mine eat it while I help tony out.... good thing to, he gut him self on the gills so bad that my boat went form a nice aluminum color to a nice red color!! Freaking guy bled so much in my boat I could smell the blood!!

Anyways tony gets a pic of this beaut

Image

And were off to mine!! Surely after all the time which had elapsed and being ona quick strike rig we thought we were goinng to have our second muskie as in many minutes!! Go set the hook, rod bends and thats all I got!! Lost mine, but its nice to see tony getting a few big gurls!!

And thats all she wrote for my boat this season, parents need the garage space..... so if anyone has a boat and wants to find some ski's, give me a pm :P

Way to go, fellas. That's a beautiful muskie! What a good way to wrap up the year in your boat, Ransome.

Tony should have dangled his maimed hand in the lake to attract a couple more lake sharks! (Hope you're OK, Tony. That's gotta hurt.)

W.
Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Actually, the fish came at 3:40, I'm pretty sure, I think we just need to adjust the time on the camera. What a rush!! I took some advice from Fish-Hawk himself after loosing 3 on saturday and his boat going 4/4 :? "Wait til he swims away from you" he said. I didn't have a quick strike rig only a 5/0 worm hook. The fish was on for only about 10 seconds but he was heading away so I thought what the hey. As soon as I set the hook I felt the weight I said this is my biggest fish ever, and when I saw it I thought it might run close to 50". An unofficial measurement was 46"+ or - an inch. We lay it down and put it's nose on the seat against the paddle and the tail covered the other paddle! The girth was enormous though some where around 20" could've easily been more. We had a tough time getting the fish out of the net and I got sliced on the gills which cost me a litre or two of blood. But I hurried so we could get Ian's on. It was so disapointing when the fish let go  Not bad for 1.5 hours of fishing. :D :D I'll be smiling for a while :D :D

As usual Tony, awesome fish! :P

I think it's too early to put the boat away. Can't you just take the motor inside the garage and leave boat outside?

Crazyhook look at the picture, the paddle to paddle should be obvious second time around, had the same thought till I looked again.

Don't worry Crazyhook, the fish was handled very carefully and wasn't even out of the water for 25 seconds. The fish didn't thrash or anything, when we lay her down, and as soon as we "measured" the fish she was darting off to the depths agian. We're always more than careful with our fish, especially these beauts! I'm still reliving the fight over and over in my head, it was awsome!

Can I guy not catch a fish, post the pciture, tell his story without getting drilled about how he held the fish...measured it...took the hook out...or what he caught it on?

If it continues people will stop posting their pics and stories that we all enjoy reading for fear of persecution....
