A DOZEN PICS FROM MY BEST FISHING TRIP YET.

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

The Fraser or Campbell River in BC would be the place to go. In the Chilliwack area it was reported that there were about 450 weekend warrior guides. Fraser River Lodge's guides are on the water every day. They know where to be. I certainly could not have located these fish without them. One would be lost. But, besides baiting the hook and giving you the drive, you set the hook, fight the fish, and land it if you can, or get your buddy too. With the chinooks and coho the guides just gave us a five minute boat ride to the honey hole. You do the fishing. If you need their boat to chase a big fish, you let them know.

Salmon, sturgeon are a great fish. Some people find them just logs to bring in, well, they're not the most crazy fish but seeing them jump (and man can they ever) and make huge runs and give pounding head shakes is awesome. When my bigger fish gave the head shakes you'd be reeling back 30 feet  of line. You'd swear everytime you just lost him. And man, we did lose some big fish as well. What I love most about this remarkable species most is simply their raw power. Wherever they want to take that 150 pound line is up to them. Yet, when you're kneeling beside one it's the greatest feeling to be holding such a gentle dinosaur.

Yeah I'm a sucker for that big vacuum mouth too.

Absolutely incredible, Bunk!

When John told me how many points you would be posting, I thought he had made a typo.

Your exploits will give us all more incentive to keep Team 3 where we belong- in FIRST PLACE!

It was nice to come south and go west with only walleye, pike and whitefish on my caught list so far. Catching was the only issue, I had nothing to cull at all. It was great having 3 weeks to just fill my 5 fish in all sorts of species catagories knowing that everything I caught was points regardless of size. What I was most pleased with was that I caught some great fish. Unexpected a little bit that was.

Now I have to get more eyes over 20" and some bigger pike for anymore points.

Nicely done moosebunk; It is truely amazing the fish that are available in BC. Catching and landing a six foot sturgeon is a feat in itself and catching a large spring and having to chase it in the boat is also a great thrill.
If any of you fisher people get the chance to fish BC try to get here when the sockeye season is on. Not only can you get all the species of fish that Moosebunk caught but also the torpedo like and wonderful tasting sockeye salmon.
I am still in Chilliwack for a couple more weeks before heading back to Niagara. Looking to catch some cohoe and springs as they head up the Chilliwack/Vedder river.
My son who lives here just recently caught a 45 and a 35 pound spring salmon[chinook] in the river system. The cohoe and chum salmon are starting their runs up the river so hopefully I'll nab a few.

Hey Bunk,

Thought I would finally join this forum. It's Chris of Kesagami. Wonderful pics and I'm happy for you....but I can relate to the guy in picture four. That guy probably had his lure dangling INCHES away from that fishes nose!!!!
