A DOZEN PICS FROM MY BEST FISHING TRIP YET.

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

A DOZEN PICS FROM MY BEST FISHING TRIP YET.

Post by Moosebunk »

After a little whitewater rafting, drinking and jumping off cliffs out west in Chilliwack I got down to some fishing business.

About third cast while fishing kings for the first time...

And they kept coming into the next day :D :D :D

After two days they closed salmon fishing on the Fraser to ensure that a certain run of coho not be caught on their spawning run. So my group went sturgeon fishing for 3 days. We were going to go trout fishing, but high winds caused us to cancel the long trip across Harrison Lake. We weren't too disappointed, here's why...

MY FIRST STURGEON  :D :D :D

And they kept coming...

This was my 6+ footer. About 160-180 pounds. Tested my guns fer sure

After leaving BC I went east to the valley. Good fishing just followed. Here's a few pics of some Perth and area favorites...

And here's a great shot of my buds Tom and John with John's big fish.

Just an amazing 3 weeks of fishing. Caught 5 species I have never caught before, and created memories that will last a lifetime.

Like I had said before I left, life is grand. :D

HOLY CROW!!!!

That looks like it was the greatest time ever. Congratulations on a very successful trip and not 1...but 5 different species. Those are some tremendous fish. Way to go. Would you mind posting some of the giants in our Fish-Hawk gallery. I'm sure we will want to share those pics with the rest of the world.

Congrats again Moosebunk.

I honestly was left speechless several times in the last 3 weeks as well. It's just been great. For these dozen pics I probably have 3 dozen more too. I couldn't have prayed or begged for better outings while west and down in the valley. Made it out fishing 15 times in 25 days. Just about cost me the family but it was worth it.

The Team 3 guys carping with me and other friends and family going fishing with me as well have made me the happiest man alive these past few days. Truly great, all of them.

Now, I've got two days of work then 6 off. While the family is out of town this week I need to continue this good fortune with some big eyes and pike.

Tightlines all. :)

Sturgeon released, mounted and framed.

2 chinooks in my belly, and, mounted and framed.

Pics only, no mounts.

But what a beautiful mount a sturgeon would have made. I love those gorgeous bottom feeders, prehistoric and sexy for millions of years old.
