To The Great White North

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

To The Great White North

Post by ontariodreaming »

Well not so white this time of year but a hell of a lot cooler then where I am from.

Coming up for a week and staying at Red Horse lake. Going to do a little bass/pike/lake trout fishing with my two sons. Will spend some time on Red Horse, Charleston, and Gananoque. Everyone here has been a big help and I really enjoy this board. Have fun with your get together. :D I will post results.

Have a blast but don't count on it being cooler....Very hot and muggy here in the summer..
It's funny my Dad lives in Sunnyvale Cali. (San Fran) and the average temp here in the summer is warmer. My grandparents lived down your way for years and years. We would visit quite often in the summer..no difference in temp..but itis muggier here..so don't bring your parka's..LOL

Let us know how you do on Red Horse. My sister owns a property there and I keep meaning to give the fishing a try but I haven't had the chance. If I know the fishing is good I may try a little harder to get down there!

Say hi

Post by Cancatchbass »

Presumably you're staying at Shawmere?

Say Hi to the good Mr. Shaw for me. Ask to see the picture of the HUGE smallmouth he has in his album- guaranteed you have never seen anything like it. I believe it is the 3rd largest smallmouth ever caught in Canada.

Ontario,

I grew up in Southern Maryland, and now reside in Baltimore. I have been going up to canada every year for about the last 20 years. Will be interested to see your report. Good luck.
