Ottawa and Rideau's best lures and colors.

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Ottawa and Rideau's best lures and colors.

Post by Big Bass 444 »

There is zillions of lures and colors we can use on both the Ottawa river and of course the sweet little Rideau!!!......so open your heart guys and share your secrets. Let's see if fishes are tired of the same lures day in day out. Let's be original and find new ways to get the monster picky ones!!!

With all the guys in Wendover fishing for muskies I'm sure most are using
the same lures.....the question is.....do you think a musky would be more
interested by originality after visiting cameras for the fifth time this year
or would it be stupid enough to fall over and over again for traditional like Believers?

When I do go Bassing, I like my buzzbaits! Sometimes the numbers I catch aren't great, but the action's awesome! My best LM fishing is hands down on the Rideau.

I just love the topwater attack as they say! But I usually keep a rod ready to fire with a spinner bait for Large Northern and Muskie follows!

Wallies, as I've stated numerous times, I like my jig/grub/worm or minnow combo. Also the grub/spinner combo... I target the Ottawa for these.

Simple, yet effective!

Frogs and more frogs...scum frogs work well on both.

Go to the shallows!

This time of year the craw fish are changing or in most spots already have changed to an orange color. Use this to your advantage, most bass eat craws.
