Been reading lots of reviews on various models and overall not much positive feedback.
Any of you tried some and what are your opinions?

Are you referring to this thing?

If so, it's a great tool. I like that it has wide, flat gripping surfaces that don't tear up the fish's jaw (unlike boga style grippers)..
Also nice that it floats.

I use these.

I'm on my second pair but they worked great until the crapper out and locked on a small like.
Bought a second set two years ago and they have worked flawlessly. I only use them on pike though so it's not like they get a lot of use.

Re: Fish Gripper - Any Good?
I was literally coming here to post a new topic about lip grippers.
Is it light? I need something as light as possible to bring on kayak trips (portaging).
Thanks,
E

Re: Fish Gripper - Any Good?
I have a gripper in my tackle box in Florida. Most of the fish we catch down south have a pretty good set of teeth, some way more than others. I don't remember what make it is but looks like the one pictured. It works great. Mitch.
