Re: Jock River
Shore or boat? If you start at eagleson you can launch a smaller boat (one you can lift) and head down river. You can catch walleye and pike there. You can also fish from shore. I have seen suckers and bass caught there too but usually catch more bass closer towards the Rideau. There are some decent sized fish in there. Spinners or bright lures work good since the water is murky. There are spots that get shallow and then some good sized holes. I haven't been there for a few years but there were fish then.
Re: Jock River
Basically above the rapids at Greenbank a boat is your best option. Below Greenbank is wading territory; fishing from shore is possible, however you'll lose a lot more tackle than if you wade. Because it is dark bottomed, it looks significantly deeper than it actually is. i've seen anglers chucking heavy jigs, etc into less than 2' of water, only to snag up. The same is true for the Rideau @ Long Island.

Agreed with the above comments. You can also catch muskie in there and have caught quite a few walleye as well. The stretches between Barrhaven and Richmond are good. You can launch a small boat across from the Richmond nursery and go towards Barrhaven for quite a while. Have fun!

I've waded the jock a few times and found walleye, smallies and rock bass. If you have a boat you can launch near the mouth I've seen some bigguns caught there, let us know how it went
