

The bite was tougher than years past but if you kept at it you were eventually rewarded with some Larry gold.


A few bonus pike helped break up the morning including this decent slimer for my orange hat bro.

Some of the walters clearly had spawning on the agenda as they were dripping with eggs (note right hand in first pic) while we posed for a quick photo op before we sent them back over the bow.

The majority of our fish were caught in 20+ ft of water adjacent to spawning areas. Subtle vibration seemed to be the key to getting these negative fish to bite and a 3/8oz jig tipped with a twister or paddletail worked slowly along bottom was the ticket for us.
Can't wait to get back out!
