Don't Forget Capital walleye of the world is the Bay Of Quinte awesome fishing for Walleye in the fall. anything less than a 10lber is considered small. I'm sure someone would be willing to take you out or a charter for the day.

Would recommend either one. Hearst Air or Eddie North's. From what I can tell, it's equal opportunity fishing for pike and eyes except that the experiences are rather different. Hearst is BIG river fishing, the Eddie's is more-or-less lake fishing. Both hold solid, hard fighting pike that "could" reach that elusive 50-inch mark. When I first went with a group in 2008 there was only one camp, with Hearst Air at Pym Island. It had been in existence for years. It caught my eye through an Outdoor Canada Article which had both Choronzy and Krupa mention it as a favorite for pike. 2009 Eddie North opened up at Beteau Lake (widening of the river) and with great fishing and online advertising it quickly became a popular destination. This year, a friend of mine has visited Hearst Air's new Canada Camp which will really be up and running next season. It's another BIG river experience. Eddie North has acquired a camp at Windsor Lake as well (another widening of the river) and I'm looking forward to fishing it's first year come 2014.Doug wrote:back to Moosebunk: What outfitter on Attawapiskat would you recommend? (I recall reading your trip report about one operator, but I think there are several?)
If planning anytime May or June you'd be safe to enjoy the best these places have to offer. After that, low water levels can impede travel. Prices are nearly equal with not just trip price but other things factored in. I can't think of anyone who has gone with either outfit that come back from a week with anything bad to say.
Again, two other BIG pike options that I could strongly recommend would be Kesagami or Nipigon. With them, plus Attawapiskat, you essentially have 3 very different pike fishing experiences and waterbodies, and even 3 different sorts of northern pike... a rather long fact to get into fully.
Here's some links to older Attawapiskat and Kesagami Reports. Excuse me having to link offsite but the search isn't working here for me.
