I live in "Bud-haven as well and used to fish rideau when younger from Long Island to Kars by rowboat with a 9 hp. Caught pike,bass,pickrel,and one muskie as I remember. Anyways could show some spots to you if interested.

Getting out with Hawk-Talkers is always a success!

I plan to fish everyday the first week of August and will be making plans to take a few of the guys out for the day....I'll keep yas posted!

I would really like to fish the Rideau but I get very nervous with the speed boats pulling tubes. Do you know of an inlet that would be better on the Rideau?

any of you guy's ever fish out of Brockville? All i can offer are some good digital photo's and a Yorkshire accent tho! lol, Oh and fishing tales from the UK, hehehe.

At the mouth of the Jock where it empties into Rideau is a good spot to launch and go from Long Island locks down towards Black Rapids where it is much quieter.
