Cottage rentals

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Being from Jersey, USA, don't know of any cottages in the area you requested, just wanted to say good luck, have a great time fishing(and with the wife), we are proud of you and may God bless you and yours, Joe.

First off if your in the Armed Forces I thank you for your contribution to Canada and salute you!
Now here are some great cottage links. You should try for some walleye also which many of these lakes have that are open 2nd weekend of May.

For most Lakes you should be able to find a map with what species are in the Lake and where abouts they can be found.

guess it depends on a lot of things, proximity to services? do you like busy lakes? seclusion? pike fishing only or other fish? I can think of much better lakes for pike fishing.

There are many sites that offer cottage rental services, If you are looking for a good pike lake and thats the only fish that your interested in... then I can send you a pm of a lake that I know.....

Thanks for the quick responses and the best wishes, I don't keep any fish so I never took to targeting eyes, as for what I am looking for in the lakes I do not have any problems with the lake having traffic unless it is like the Rideau in the summer.

Thanks or all th quick responses and luck it is much appericated. I don't keep fish so I never took to targeting eyes. So fish wise all I am looking do is pike and do not mind boat traffic as long as it's not the rideau river in the summer . I do also not mind if the cottage is seculed but I have a 18 ft boat to lunch. Again thanks for the info !!

Check out www.shawmere.com/. (Red Horse Lake). You'll catch lake trout, pike, and bass there. Good discounts before and after the bass season opens. Clean cottages. They have access and dockage for an 18 footer. Awesome spot about 1/2 hour outside of Smiths Falls just north of Charleston Lake. Fellow's name that runs it is Chuck Shaw. Good luck....Fishtraks.

Griffin's on Gananoque Lake is a casual, nice set-up...with or without meals. Close to Gan is a plus.

McCulloch's Cottages on Wolfe Lake a step up in creature comforts, and convenient to Westport (nice village) and a host of other lakes, such as Bob's, Devil, Rideau, Pike, Newboro, Sand.....many others.

Nordlaw Lodge on Bob's Lake also a very enjoyable place to stay. Meals are served on different plans. This is also convenient to Westport.

There are a lot of other options in the area if you check out the Rideau Lakes / Westport Chamber of Commerce site online.

Good luck -- and enjoy your vacation!
