Nice Muskie

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Beauty of a muskie.
That is one great ol' river for producing fish over the generations.
My Great-Great-Grandfather fished that river, no pics but lots of stories down the family line. lol

Thanks for sharing

Thanks everyone :D I caught it propwashing a spinnerbait on one of the busiest days that I have ever seen. (August 3 holiday monday) It was on a pretty narrow stretch of river and with all the huge boats going by creating big wakes it made the release difficult. It took 45 minutes until that fish swam away. I was worried for awhile because it would swim off and then go nose down and belly up. Persistence paid off though. I stayed in the area for awhile and I even went back the next day but I think she made it. I think alot of people would have given up after a few tries and harvested the fish. To be honest it went through my mind that I might have to keep it but I'm really glad I stuck with it. This season there will be another 50" out there

EQUALS a champion!

Must be pretty cool to see a photo pop-up of that experience out of the ice-and-cold of winter...
