Fall Brookie

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Fall Brookie

Post by The Nipigon »

Good evening fellow Hawkers, decided to take a break from hunting bush chickens (partridge) and head out to one of my many favourite lakes up here in the north. Today’s prey was the fall Brook Trout. As usual the day was damp, wet, and cold with drizzle and the occasional down pour. But this never stops the diehard trout hunter from seekng out his prize. Well with a little patience and the right shore stalk, I manage to hook into and land a nice 20” male Brookie.

Be advised that this Brookie was taken from a open year round season lake... :D

Those have got to be one of the prettiest fish ever created. Just stunning.

I guess fishing in the rain paid off nicely.

Man what a beautiful fish. How's the "chicken" hunting season going for you?? Seen some around my lake, heard some but never when i'm in the hunt for them.

Beauty!

I was going to hit a local lake Sunday for some just like those, unfortunately we had more than a light drizzle. Still many opportunities before ice up! :-)
