bassin for bucks

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Thanks to everyone who registered - the tournament is now full! We are taking a small waiting list however in case there are cancellations so if you missed out leave your name and number with us and we'll call you if we have a spot open up.

BASSIN' 4 BUCKS

Post by baitcaster »

Tony,

Your registration DID NOT get lost - you sent it to the wrong email address and then never called until last night to follow up.

As for the waiting list I have no way to know whether anyone on it will get to fish. It will depend on the circumstances of the other anglers. SOmetimes due to family responsibilities, illness or other things teams do have to cancel.

If anyone needs a copy of the rules I would be happy to email them one. Just send an email to info@baitcasters.ca. If you have not filled out a waiver form as well I can send you one and that will speed things up in the morning.
See everyone tomorrow! 17 and sunny!

Good Luck everyone tomorrow....I've heard that the Miss has been on fire the past few weeks with the big fish rockin'....

After 10 weeks of tournaments and pre-fishing....I'm taking a Saturday off.....

Any truth to the rumour that you are giving that Ranger away as a bonus Crystal?...

Ranger Giveaway

Post by baitcaster »

There's truth to the rumour that we're going to be giving the Ranger away and it will be on display at the tournament but I'm afraid it's not the bonus prize!
Mike, I'm sure the wind will blow or something... it wouldn't be a Bait Casters' tournament otherwise would it?
The sun always shines for the BBQ though!

Hey Crystal,

Congrats again on the win and let me know when that rumour is no longer a rumour. :)

I unfortunately wasn't going to be able to fish the Bassin 4 Bucks this year as another committment was on that date....which meant I couldn't fish the OVMC Derby either. Well as luck would so have it, turns out that the "plans have changed" and I could have fished it....but it's full now, and I could have fished the OVMC Derby, but it's a 2 day event and I only have 1 day available, so I guess I'll wait until next year. I may pop out though for the BBQ if I can swing it and not doing at least 1 day of the OVMC, but I can't promise. We'll see how it goes...I seem to have my plans made with only a couple hours notice these days. :)

Good luck to everyone. This is a great tournament and a lot of fun. I hope the weather cooperates and the fish are big and plentiful.

Cheers,

Hey Rob,

It would be great to see you! I hope you make it to the BBQ. Wind is blowing like crazy right now - hopefully Mother Nature will get it all out of her system!

Bassin for Bucks

Post by Tim Carmichael »

Just wanted to thank BaitCasters for putting on the Bassin for Bucks. Congrats to all that cashed a cheque. The weather was a tad cool but warmed up nicely. Fishing was a bit tough but thats what makes it interesting. The BBQ was very tasty and everyone seemed pleased with their day (winners or not).

Take care and play safe with the cooler weather starting,

I want to thank Crystal and everyone else for putting together such a great tournement.

Though I may be biased cuz we won the last hour, it was the funnest tournement i've been to yet. Eventhough, the fishing was tough most of the day, the structure of it all makes it more exciting IMO. I get to throw the big stuff all day!

Also special thanks to Dave, Denis and Wayne, for their tools to help me with my flat tire.
