I know I have been asking a lot of questions lately but I would like to know if somebody can tell me what the signs are of bad gas.
I bought a used boat with a 2004 Suzuki 114 four stroke and when I take off. the more is sluggish and the all of a sudden it pops right out. Almost like its not getting gas then all of a sudden it kicks in.
Could this be a sign of bad gas?
The dealer changer the water impeller, both fuel filters and the plugs and its still doing it.
It doesn't do it all the time only sometimes. It happens more often when the boat has been sitting around.
If it is bad gas what do I need to do and how do I prevent it from happening again.
Anybody ever install a fuel/water separator? If so where do you install it.

I will Second that for sure!!!!...I upgraded my outboard recently and notice that it had a dead spot or slightly slugish from 1/4 throttle until about 1/2 throttle if I just eased the throttle up. I can of seam foam (split over to tanks of fuel) and what a difference.
