biggest muskie thread

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Matt, Ron. I know that spot too! Caught a 12lb salmon on a 10" fire pearch Jake at that spot, same outing.

My biggest is 51.5. The only time me and my fishing buddy forgot our cameras. When we pulled out I said to him, watch, we'll probably catch our biggest fish today. Still got that picture 'etched' in my mind though.

Well, the biggest I have proof of is the one in my profile photo. It was a little over 42" out of the Rideau and it was super healthy and clean.
The last one I caught in 08 was 48" and when I netted it, I realized that I had left my camera beside the computer as I had landed a 36" the day before.
That last one put my FIRST one in perspective. I caught my first in the Ottawa last July and I estimated it at around 48". After the measured 48 in the fall, I realized that my first must have been over 50. I was very lucky and I"ll never forget it. I even have a large scar on my thumb from one of the lower teeth. It is still a little sore TODAY!!.
I fished for bass my whole life but now..... Musky for me! :D
Dude, I've caught alot of fish in my life but only a Musky makes my knees shake!!! Good luck with your first!!
