Found this website of the Rideau River Biodiversity Project. It has lots of info about the Rideau River, I was especially interested in what plant and animal species are found there.
For example, did you know that the mudpuppy is the rarest species of salamander in Canada and that crayfish is its favourite food?
Or that they found freshwater drum in the river?
