You know you've had a good fishing day when.................

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

...you can even catch critters like this freshwater clam:

It was the darndest thing...I was just bouncing the bottom with my jig and it must have thumped him while his shell was open and filter feeding. Here's a close up as he had a firm grip on the head of my jig:

Catching the clam wasn't the highlight of the day so here are a few more photos from what would prove to be a stellar day of fishing:

The day was pretty active weatherwise as well and eventually blew us off the lake in our tinny. Here's a couple pics of the clouds as they screamed by:

Here's one that looked like a fish...or maybe I just had fish on the mind that day:

Tight Lines everyone!

We have a nickname for Perch that size when we catch them...they are called "Mongo" Perch. Kinda' silly, but we immediately understand  ! We also love to figure out where these fatboys go around the lake. Some days you won't see a one...other days are memorable to say the least  !

Glad you guys enjoyed the pics!
