THINKING ABOUT A SPRING GATHERING

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

THINKING ABOUT A SPRING GATHERING

Post by almontefisher »

Hey guys and gals: If any trout fishermen are interested I am thinking of having a day of trout fishing at my cottage. I was thinking spring time would be good for some fun. We have many lakes to fish for many different types of trout. I will supply the BBQ and cottage for the day and even a seat in my boat. There is a nice launch on the lake and my dock will hold a few boats. If anyone is interested just let me know and if enough people reply then I will start to set this thing up...You would have to be willing to drive around 1-1.5 hours from Ottawa to get to the cottage.

Anyway just a thought right now

If any of you know how to get to Plevna or Ompah out near Crotch Lake area then you know roughly where the cottage is. It looks like we have some interest so I will start planning this for sure...Joisey, I am not 100% sure but it will be around that time. What does everyone else think a good time to go is??? Just after first ice or mid mayish??

Hey Peter, you may want to wait until Laker's are open.....2008 regs state that Lake Trout opens the 4th Sat. in May (May24th) and it might be pretty busy on the lake that weekend!!...What about May 31st????

Is there room to pitch a tent on your property?

af,

there is a chance we might be able to drop in and say HI if we are up at our cottage that holiday wknd and have a little block of time...if it's just for a couple of days, then it would be too much to cram in, but I'd sure like to try to make it if we're up for a stretch. Sounds like a lot of fun! I think from Westport to Ompah, it's about an hour or so(?)
