What did you get for Christmas?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

No fishin' stuff but my wife and I replaced our 10 year old tv with a plasma set. Luckily so far, my half came with the remote.

As I bought my hubby a nice, new depth/fish finder, I am definitely an indirect beneficiery of the same gift. 8)

Hope everyone had a great holiday. New Year's straight ahead. Have fun, but be safe.

W.

PS: I got the finder for $30 cheaper ($189) than it was marked -- it was one of four left in store stock and the only one of the four boxes that the staff had missed marking up for the holiday "sale". The sales guy started laughing and said it was my lucky day. Finally, a little piece of luck.

I got Sirius satellite radio

No more funky Ottawa Valley Hick FM (Don't get me started on this crappy choice of music) for this guy. So long Platimium loser stations. I'm dialed in to the best feeds of tunes, comedy, talk shows, and Nascar a go go. 8)

Ahhh life is good. I grew up listing to CHOM FM and since then nothing measures up at all well so no offence to you Valley folk who might actually think you are getting good tunes... it's not your fault... but there are other choices out there. Yeah I know.... I pay for this but anything is better than the free air we have around here.

Santa did bring me some Spro frogs, and Lindy Rattlin jigs and a soft case for my Mr. Buddy Heater too.

Hi Seaweed -- Happy New Year!

Brian (hubby) got Sirius radio as a 40th b'day gift from his sister last year. He really enjoys it. And the kids and I do, too, on our road trips to the cottage, etc. You can find some great variety on there to suit whatever mood you're in. Some days it's classic rock, some days it's Sinatra, some it's classical. It's wild to never lose your station, even as the miles and time tick by.

There are a few select stations I will definitely not be checking out. I'm sure you know what I mean, if you've perused the menu.

Enjoy it!

W.
