BOQ Trip Nov 29-30... into the 1st

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

BOQ Trip Nov 29-30... into the 1st

Post by Thrasher »

We left for the BOQ at midnight, drove through a brutal snow storm, into freezing rain, and then finally rain by the time we hit the 401.
We managed only about hrs of fishing over the 2 days due to high winds. Missed 3 and caught one that was 12.2 lbs. We trolled 60-80 fow, using tail dancers and reef runners. As we were about to take the boat out, the wind REALLY picked up causing us to beach the boat and ride it out for a while. so we ended up having to wade out to get the boat off shore, the water temp was 33 deg BRRRRR! By the time this all ended, it was much easier to stay another night and enjoy the good company. just another fishing adventure!!!

I would think wading out to get your boat at 33F would bring a whole new meaning to shrinkage. It is always nice to get out there but that must have been brutal!
