Anyone heading South this winter to fish?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Oh I wish. Last year I was fortunate enough to get out fishing in Florida. What a great time on the Butler Chain. Not sure about this year...but ya never know.

Two weeks in January.

Never know where we are going so it is hard to plan fishing. We grab last minute specials and we have always ended up with great deals in super fine hotels. Might check out a charter if we have some extra $$$

We always have the snorkels, masks and fins though so we spend lots of time in the water. Best way to beat the winter I know of.

I will be in Punta Cana for a week...I leave on Jan. 14.... I wish I could do in land fishing but there is only deep sea fishing. The only problem with deep sea fishing down there is the $$$ they charge!!!!

Slop... not expensive at all. the key is to book off the time and book your vacation 1 week before, the resorts mark the prices down like crazy. 3 of us went for 2700 last March and planning to head back! fishing was great! and did not cost a penny. caught more around the resort then most did going out on 400 a day charters. Beer is included as well :D

Found spot down there with some big bull sharks too :)
may have to bring down the big gear'
