Minden Area Ice

Just wondering if anyone knows what the ice is like on any of the Minden area lakes. I'm in Peterborough and wouldnt mind shootin up there for a few hours of fishing this weekend.

I've only ever fished on Boshkung, but if anyone know of other lakes that can be access by walking on, i'd love to know. you dont have to give away your secret spot but any info would be greatly appreciated.

hey dude...

i was gonna mke this report but i drank a bit too much the other night and forgot to.

we fished a little lake called Cedar (for trout) wich is just off the highway--- and a little south of miners bay on monday, but couldnt get anything ouuta the water(we marked a bunch on the vexilar , and i lost one at the hole DOH)...had about 4-5 inches of ice. she's safe.

and tuesday we went WAY north to lake between dorset and caranven called Peach. thats all i can say really---- as thats all i know about the location (good friend knew the spot) we marked nothing

......

oh well was just happy to be out!!!!

might be out again tomrrow or the next day----

ill post up a report then---

yeah i remember seeing that sign... i think its a town too.

there was lotsa open water on the big lakes... and im pretty sure halls is a bigger one...

Boshkung had alotta open water too

hopefully the few cold days weve h ad made at least a bit of ice----

there was a good 6 inches where we were on Peach.
