Last outing for muskie '06

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Last outing for muskie '06

Post by muskymatt »

I wanted to get the last outing in before the bad weather and boy am I glad I did, what a day , beautiful weather and all looked right for that big fat fall fishing final female

After about 10 min on the water I had a big fish on and it was a heavy fish , I didn't gain an inch on her , all she wanted to do was go from side to side. After about 3 passes ,,,,,,,POP,,,,,she was off     .....mn I felt like ......well you know .

After a few more passes and some great conversation with a guy who is known to most of you

We had another one on

Image

A decent fight and a whole lot of ....don't lose it ...don't lose it , a nice 40" ....I'm guessing as we didn't measure it .
Rows of nice muskie teeth

And then a good release

Alls good now I can rest till the opener in June.

I hope......naw ...I can't wait till hard water  :D

Great last outing.

Got to love that last muskie of the year. Congrats and to bad about the non boated fish, at least it was a muskie. Until next year. Read, make some baits, try to get a few videos in too. Can't wait till next year.

Very nice Matt! .....and don't worry you'll have a date with that big gurl again....a few pounds heavier to boot. I noticed lotsa "padding" around the boat, something you definately should have when fishin' with good ol' CH   Good looking fish Jamie!
