Lower Beverly Lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Lower Beverly Lake

Post by susquehannasmallmouth »

Staying at Lower Beverly Lake (Park) last week in June. Does anyone have any information on the lake (or the park) that they would care to share?

TY!

Hi,

I hope bass season is open. Pike fishing is not that good. There are big perch if you know where to look. Smallmouth are hard to find, it's more a largemouth lake. There are big bass here. There is good pad and junk fishing, look in Oak Bay - around the mouth and down into Morton Creek. The lake sets up in late July with some nice weedlines and deeper weedbeds but the fish won't be there that early. The bass will be scattered, spinnerbait the flats in Oak Bay.

Ganman, you have me kind of worried. Bass season opens the 24th, I believe (last Sat. in June). I hope the fishing is good. My son (age 8) is counting on it!
