what's your funniest ,favorite blooper

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

what's your funniest ,favorite blooper

Post by muskymatt »

Lots of funny things happen when you are out fishing . And some pros have had hilarious things happen to them.

MY all time favorite is Babe Winkleman being pulled aroung in a tube with a 7' sturgen on the end of his line, all the while he is screaming like a little girl. When he finally gets to shore they give him a pat on the back and push him back out

And a notible mention is Ron James on a hook set launches his 500$ set up into the drink, the look on his face was priceless

The video contains swearing, just a warning to any minors:

Actually the funniest thing I've been witness too, was a flyin weekend up north.
My ex boat partener I'll refer to as C , was supposed to meet us in Temogamie at 6pm .Befor dark, but C had to work late.and drive up in the dark(which I told him not to do, Moose alley!!)sure enough he hits a moose writes off his truck just 15 min from tem. so we go and rescue him.
Next day we fly in , pair up ( 8 of us ) and head out to fish.On C's first cast he hookes his muskie rod behind him and launches it into 40' of water, watching it fly overhead he panics , drops his other rod into the boat and steps on it breaking it off at the cork handle. Well C loses it and says things that would raise the neck hair on a drunken sailor. And , demands to go home!!!

After alot of convincing, alot of booze, and alot of duct tape , C decided to stay

After that no one wanted to fly out with C. (don't blame them)

And to add insult to injury I had to Drop him off In N.bay on a street corner ,on a holiday monday ,in the pouring rain, so he could rent a car.

He was going to TO and me to Ottawa
I felt soooooo bad

C, if you read this ,I'm sorry to let it oout but it's been a year now

Don't hate me please

Yep there was a big pike on there, but I think he had wrapped himself sideways in the line because he was fighting really weird. Didn't land it though she broke the line thats when I fell over. lol

Mine would be last year at Gan Lake, I hooked into a monsta fish! It was like pullin out a stone from da lake, when I got it to da boat, I almost wet my pants! LOL I couldn't identify the fish which turned out to be a Bowfin, when I got it into da boat I became a little girl, I just couldn't bring meself to pick it up!

My boatmate was calling me some other names, better left unsaid, girlie man is all I can mention here, finnally picked it up wit plyers and took a pic. After I put the pre-historic monsta back in the water, we started laughin so hard it took us a while to get our lines back in. This 6'3 guy was shakin because of an 8 pound fish, and I'm reminded of it every day since then!

Best and funniest one I remember seeing was done by an Ottawa lad that had a show that I believe was called Casting Out . Well his guests were a couple of Ottawa Roughrider cheerleaders and they were trolling along and the shows host was too busy drooling over them nice looking girls in shorts and I recall saying to the wife .." watch this a rod is going to go overboard " and sure enough it did . :D Ah but alas that wasn't the end because as I yelled at the wife minutes later that he was going to lose another be danged if it didn't happen again . :D All on a segment that was put on as a regular show and just seeing him with chin on ground and tongue hanging out at same time had me roaring and still does . ROTFLMAO . :D Casting out ,eh ?

Well this is one that happen to me on the water, I wish I caught them moment on video

During tournaments I usually flip small walleye into the boat to save time and prevent a tangle in the net if a bigger fish is caught at the same time. After telling my partner to put the net down I flip'd the walleye into the boat and missed it with my catching hand, the fish landed right in my float suit pocket. I tried to get the fish out but now the jig and fish are hooked inside my pocket...partner yells 'Good Fish On'. I cut my line and grab the net as I fly to the back of the boat and net his fish. I end up I have to cut the pocket off my float suit to get the fish free. I go to release the small walleye and it won't revive so I have to put in the live well to be weighed in. Man did we laugh when we had to take the fish to the scales and explain the story to everyone.

Fish On...
