Im hooked on Vex!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Vexilar's! Never used them never thought you could justify a machine of that price.. Well I ve used one and now changed my mind. Absolute gold mine.. Its a fish and depth locator and saves you millions of time. Im looking toget one please let me know if you know someone selling one. If you havent tried them give them a go! Its like a video game on ice..

In my opinion... people who can't afford them (me) should never be allowed to try one. I think it's a very cruel thing to do. Me and spence used it... now i'm dealing with withdrawls.

But SERIOUSLY, they are amazing machines! And i'm gunna have to try to fish without one from now on! Anyone have any suggestions of getting over a big tease like that???

I'm definelty going to get one, one day when I have time to have my own hut and everything.

I found myself slowing down in front of the display at BPS earlier this month. Then I thought, "Whaddya CRAZY?!" ($$$$)

For the 3 or 4 times I actually get out on the ice, it would take a lot of justifying to spring for that.

They are really cool, though. I had never even seen one until I met some of you last February at Petrie. Wild.

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

I've never used one. What's the difference between a vex and a lowrance x85 properly adjusted and on 'fastrak' setting????

I have a Sitex which was the forerunner of the Vexilar. bought it in 1983 use it summer and winter and it is still going strong. Had to replace the transducer, hit one too many stumps when it was mounted on the bowmount electric. And have had to fine tune the off on switch a couple of times. I have also gone thru four LCD sounders in this time frame. The Vexilar is a great investment!
