Well I am back from my first trip to Quinte. We fished saturday around the lighthouse( I think that is where it is) and we caught 2 for the day.
I caught this one a taildancer
And my wife caught her biggest fish ever. I think it is around 10.5 to 11lbs. It was 29.5 inches long and had a 17.5 inche girth.
I consider it very good since it was the first time we used planer boards and ever fished that area. I tried the church and offshore boards and not sure which ones I like better. The offshore were better in the waves and easier to see but they didn't pull away from the boat as much. The Church boards didn't like the rough water but the pulled out further and the clips are easy.
THanks for all the tips everybody it was a great trip.
Nice fish dh congrats! Sorry we didn't see you but we avoided the traffic at the light house. BTW the church boards will run great in the rougher water just set the lead keel to the minus 1 position.
Nice fish and photos...the church and off-shore boards are both good, but it will come down to a personal preference which ones you can read the best on the water. Both need some tuning to get them running the way you like, and every angler sets them up different
I am sure you have the Quinte bug now...
See out on Quinte,
