A small look at what we faced

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Now that I've had time to read everyones thoughts that have posted, I have to say DG nailed er on the head!

Opening statements of "Well better set up a filleting stand right away" " I was catching them with my hands when I went no joke they were so abundant"Not a great way to try and make fun of the picture!

If he had opened with there were many beaching themselves, and time was taken out of the fishing day to put them back by hand, I'd be one of the 1st ones to thank you all personally for doing the right thing!!!!!

Did I feel like you were attacking me, not at all, you were trying to save face for your younger brother and that is commendable, though: Putting your neck out for your brother is fine, but remember he is the one who posted, not you.So this was not directed to you, and given your brothers tasteless reports of past, I posted what I felt.

In all it was as dry an attempt at humor which unfortunatly will never sit well with myself and countless others, and his abilities to angle salmon with his hands joking or not, not a great way to make freinds who devote even vacation time to rehab the areas myself, you and others fish!!!

Respectfully, F.F

If he was catching with a rod and reel why say there were so many I was catching them with my hands??? :? :? :?

DG. 8)

When he said that "I landed ten lost 5 times" - landed 10 with the hands and 5 just slip away ?
Well as everyone else I'm sick and tired of people snagging fish on all tribes but I haven't seen anything harmful in this post, but that is just me.
As you said DG this should be more clearly written.

have nice day :))

I would just like to state that I was in no way making fun or insulting anybody by making that post. People who know me or fish with me know that would be nothing but a jokingly made commment.. FF, I'm the older brother. And he replyed becuase he believes you took the post the wrong way. And so do others I've talked to in person.
I fish by the law and nothing more. I keep nothing and release everyhting I catch. I follow the regulations and fish accordingly. I did catch 1 salmon with my hands it bumped into my wadders and I grabbed him by the tail and pushed him aside so he could swim away. In my opnion nothing wrong with that what so ever. It was an amazing trip and I caught alot of fish. (Usinga 10'5ft shakespeare synergy rod, a shimano ultegra shimano reel, blackbird hooks, and blackbird floats.) Oh i was also using 8lbs Vanish Transition which I recommend for this kind of fishing. i cauhgt a brown treated him as gentle as possible and let him go an his merry way. Only my 2nd one I ve ever caught I was very pleased. Very beautiful fish.
After reading your post in response to my original post. It makes me think that anyone else in my shoes being a member of the board would be very insulted.
But Im going to do what I would normally do in this situation and wish you a great day on the water. I thank you for the pic in your original post because it reminds me of all the running salmon I witnesses and had the pleasure of seeing.

Nothin wrong with that post, had the original post been that, you would have probably got a different response.

The Transition is a great line, but I would not run it strait for bows, try using a main Iron Silk or Raven main line, with the Black Bird swivels and tie on a lead of transition in a 4lb.The transition is great, but all the way to the hook is fine for the salmon run, but if you plan to go for cold water bows, you will need to go with lighter line to increase hook ups.Blackbird have a great float in the "Phantom" series, I still use them myself in a pinch.

As for the C&R of the brownie, and other fish, good on ya, and next time just let us all know you were ghelping fish along, all in the wording will make a big difference.
