Stupid Musky!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Stupid Musky!

Post by Curtis »

I have spent 4hrs of the last three days out pre fishing for a tournament i have the middle of next week. Between me and my partner we have only caught two legal tournament bass. The only thing i have even had look at my baits are Musky. The first night i had one nail a bubble gum senko at a dock. Then today on my first cast with a scum frog i got a small backlash. I looked down to take it out of the reel and my partner seen a huge musky take wack the frog in 6" of water. Later in the day i was fishing with a Tube Zilla and pulled another fish about 28" of a tree.

For the first time ever i can say i didn't really want to raise and catch a musky but rather a bass of any size instead.

Nah he just needs me to teach him to fish..

Now Curtis for our first lesson I'm bringing you a new fishing combo. It conveniently has Scooby Doo on it, since you look a lot like Shaggy I thought you could relate.

hey man, just thought i could help....was fishing scugog last wknd and found the bass werent as shallow as i thought....I gained 1 boil while fishing the mats and so i decided to switch to a deeper presentation...I found a deep weed edge on my sonar (8-10ft) and started to cast crankbaits along this edge...2nd cast, WHAM! solid 3lber...I caught about 17 fish that day. After i was convinced I covered the whole weed edge I flipped the middle of the weed bed with a jig and was using long vertical sweeps to get these fish to strike. Give this a try on the lake your fishing on, I guarantee there are some bass relating to these offshore structures...
Good Luck,
