Hey Todd B...
I am with you on that one.
One way livewells. The fish go in but don't come out until the weigh-in.
Would definitely make it more challenging...
Would also reduce the numberof bass being re-located around the waterbody...
Big Sim...
Thanks for the follow-up. I was just curious. Reasonable and probable cause to conduct a search can be tricky. Not so much a vehicle but especially a residence.
CO's definitely need the authority to be able to conduct on the spot searches/seizures if they feel it is warranted. I don't look at it as giving up our rights and freedoms because if you are not doing anything wrong, you've got nothing to hide. And the most you stand to lose is a bit of time. Remember if you are co-operative, respectful and helpful with the officer, he is going to treat you with the same respect. It is a very rare instance where somebody gets the rubber glove treatment when they're being courteous. Usually, it is as a result of wrong doing or being an a$$hole.
Hey MB...
Don't sweat the small stuff...
Just have a fish fry for a couple of folks and digest the evidence.
For me, a similar situation is when I am duck hunting and through wild luck I knock down two ducks with one shot (this has happened once). Both ending up to be Black Ducks. (Daily Limit is one.) Now I have asked COs this question, what do I do the the second Black? 99% of the folks asked said give it to amother hunter who doesn't have a Black in his bag yet.
I think that unless you have 50 or 60 lbs of fillets in your freezer, you really don't have to worry too much. It's not the guy with a couple extra they're after, it's the guy with 30, 40 or more, that they're after.
DG.
