Well I am working out of town in Baltimore, MD and was not able to make it back home for the Bass opener. I am staying at a hotel that is on a small lake so I am thinking lets give it a try. I go to Bass Pro and buy one of those cheap colapsable rod and reels and some plastics and of course a few spinner baits. A out of state fishing license for 3 days was only 5 bucks. So I head out in the 35 degree weather and knock off 3 LM Bass from thios little lake. The first Bass I get was about a 3 pounder (A guy tells me they were pulling 6 pounders in spring). I pull the Bass out of the water and start to here some chearing and turn around to see about 50 people watching me fish from the restaraunts that are just above the lakes surface. So I did the pro Bass fisherman thing by take the Bass and wave it in the air like I just took it out of the live well in front if the stadium fans. The kids loved it.
This is not the same as fishing out of my boat on the Miss. or the Headpond but at least I still fished the oppener.

Rex,
I know exactly where you were, in front of Clyde's right? I used to work in a building right next to that little lake, but never got the chance to fish there. If you get a chance, head over to Centennial Lake, which is about 10 mins from where you are. It is a small lake but has some decent fish in it.
