Yeah its an old thread, but, here's my story and I am sticking to it (Grin).
Was refered here by a friend who posts fairly regularily.

There were a few fishing buddies that were wearing Fish-Hawk hats and I thought I would look into the site and see what it was all about. Lurked for awhile and have always enjoyed the commaraderie and debates. Just like sitting around the dinner table. You may not always agree on all topics but you get a lot of different points of view. Great Site!!!!

Historic discussion string
Wow
After rereading this discussion string it is a real historic who is who on this site.
Not sure that I remember how I found the site but it was many years ago... I was probably looking for maps too.
Fish-Hawk.net quickly became a daily visit for me....

Surfing and trolling for Quebec tourists locations - the rest is history. Contributed a few articles about bottom bouncing and harnesses - tons of responses and have been sharing since.
Watching and participating as the site has grown over the years has me believing that it is one of the top 5 sites on the web, I play on a total of 67 sites around the world and for sure Fish-Hawk is truly a home for me.
Attending the gatherings is one of my favorite past times and I've been known to cancel other activities to share time over a beer and platter of good food with the other like minded area anglers.
Thanks Fish Hawk & Bobber you really have built a fine house for us.

So has anyone noticed that most people found the site looking for maps of local lakes...I found this site looking for porn
..just kidding I as well was looking for local boat launches when I came across this site...No lurking for me though signed up right away and have enjoyed every minute so far...Have met a bunch of you at different events and so far not one of you are evil...love the site and plan to stay for a while.
