The Fraser or Campbell River in BC would be the place to go. In the Chilliwack area it was reported that there were about 450 weekend warrior guides. Fraser River Lodge's guides are on the water every day. They know where to be. I certainly could not have located these fish without them. One would be lost. But, besides baiting the hook and giving you the drive, you set the hook, fight the fish, and land it if you can, or get your buddy too. With the chinooks and coho the guides just gave us a five minute boat ride to the honey hole. You do the fishing. If you need their boat to chase a big fish, you let them know.
Salmon, sturgeon are a great fish. Some people find them just logs to bring in, well, they're not the most crazy fish but seeing them jump (and man can they ever) and make huge runs and give pounding head shakes is awesome. When my bigger fish gave the head shakes you'd be reeling back 30 feet

of line. You'd swear everytime you just lost him. And man, we did lose some big fish as well. What I love most about this remarkable species most is simply their raw power. Wherever they want to take that 150 pound line is up to them. Yet, when you're kneeling beside one it's the greatest feeling to be holding such a gentle dinosaur.
Yeah I'm a sucker for that big vacuum mouth too.
