Victoria Island tonight (Tuesday)-Report

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Seems like only small cats were biting tonight. Caught seven. all between 10 and 14 inches Great evening on the banks of the Ottawa though, no wind, mild temps, and the mosquitos are starting. The NCC Conservation Officers came around and checked licenses. They said that they caught several people fishing walleye out of season on the island last week. The phone number to report any illegal activities is:
613-239-5353, this is their 24 hr emergency number. Since they are located here in town, they can respond immediately, unlike the MNR, which are stretched pretty thin.

No pics, no camera, no lights. A couple in a boat right in front of where we fish were catching walleye, and a couple of nice size cats as well.

We had fun last night, I should've left at the same time as you Pints cause I got nothing after you left. Fat Luke came over for a visit, met Fishstik(i think that's what ur name was) . It was a good night warm moskitoes were there but they were not bloodthirsty.
When hell freezes over, I'll be there icefishing!!!

Lights!!!!

Post by spinner »

Called the NCC yesterday re the lights not being on and they were going to look into it.

They called back today saying that there is a technical problem of some kind and that they were calling in an electrician to check it out by tomorrow so hopefully we'll have lights soon!! :)
