Temperature Meter help

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Temperature Meter help

Post by Ewby »

Anyone know of a meter that will measure temperature 100 feet down either one that hooks to a down rigger or a hand held unit and around how much there cost.

Thanks Ewby :?: :?:  :?:

There's a few. I've been considering a FishHawk temp prob myself. They cost anwhere from $600+.

There's also an inexpensive prob you can buy for $40. You just clip it on and lower it on the ball and pull the ball back up....it reads temp every 10 feet and gives you a digital read out. Not sure where you can get one, but I'd try Cabela's or BPS.

Subtrolls are extremly valuable. Temp and Downspeed at the ball is the most valuable info you can have for trolling. I need to upgrade too! hoover just bought a new fishhawk, shoot him a PM if you have any questions.

I've seen them in tackle stores for under 10$. Drop it down too desired depth leave for a few minutes pull back up.

Would any thermometer due the trick?
