Who here is Heading for the B.O.Q opener next sat?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

We went down and got our first (and hopefully only) skunk out of the way!!!! We couldn't even manage more than 2 small bites all day long. We weren't in the tournament, and we have never fished there before, but we tried everything (except live bait) we tried trolling rigs, crankbaits, dropshots with leaches, minnows, ect. We mostly fished in the 15-25 foot range (but did try shallow and deeper spots) , so maybe that was the problem, and we didn't get onto the water until 8:30am (its almost a 3 hr drive)

Any advice on what we did wrong? We don't come down often, but when we do, I'd like to catch atleast something.

Help????

You probally didn't do anything wrong, because even the seasoned guyz didn't do much, our numbers are usually crazy but not this weekend, just a slow weekend all around i think, guyz did find fish , Fid the shoals weed edges work them, or troll if your into that, i hate washing lures, but heh thats just me!

Hey petawawarace, keep your chin up. That was one of the toughest walleye opener's I have had. We only fished a bit Sat morn (2hrs) Sat eve and Sun morn with 1 2lbs eye to show for it. I have never since I've been going to the bay for the opener seen 1 boat Sun morning at the Telegraph Narrows. Usually there is some where between 100 - 300 in that stretch of water.
My motor was still at the shop, so we were kind of handicapped to be running to different spots.

Any how, don't let it bug you, it was tough fishing for sure!
