The House of Fillets

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Unfortunately, the House of Fillets is only 4W x 8L x 6H.

It's been raining here since rj and mm left so the completion date hasn't been meet. I'm starting to wonder if we're gonna get any ice this year.

RJ, has the water situation in the basement with this spring thaw happening?

Topwater, he didn't seem to mind it being winter last week. I think he had gloves on once the whole time out.

I'd like to put a coat of paint on the hut, but I'm nervous about temps. How warm should it be to paint outside?

It's 5C in there, is that fine? Will the humidity have an affect?

Float could probably answer that question....

I think it just has to be positive temps...

Well, there's no rush to get her done. It's been pouring here all day. I'm guessing this may be the end of any ice we had on the bay. grrr.

I still haven't got the door mounted, but I did complete the benches today. I'll get the door on this week and give her a good coat of barn paint next weekend.

Here's a couple progress pic's...

I put it on a cart base here from work and wheeled it into my carport to get it out of the rain. The good thing is I was able to easily lift it onto the back of my truck, so transport won't be too difficult. I'll snap a few more shots of the house of fillets as i near completion.

Don't know what colour you were thinking, but when I built them I used stain not paint. Looks real good though!
