CCB I heard at the TO Sportsman Show last year from a few people that they enjoyed the Spring Fishing Show more. People felt there was simply more fishing related things at the Spring Show.
Unfortunately it'll be missed this year (Feb 17-20) for the wife and I won't be in TO ti'll the following w/e. I've already begun to prepare her for my visit to BPS then.
I Probably go to the sportsmen show just to see all the boat and stuff they had a lot of boats. Since I dont have a boat yet I just go and that give me idea for some boat in the futur and doesnt cost nothing to look.
As for the fishing I had always taught that Ottawa a good selection of fishing stuff untill last spring when I went to the Carp fishing Show and had a lot of stuff and almost all the tackle shop of eastern ontario was there. For fishing I like the Carp show alot better. Last year was my first time that I went to the Carp show and now its a ritual and would not miss the Carp show again.
I have to agree with R.J. on this one, the Ottawa Show has gone down hill in the last few years. So in January 2005 I will be going to the Timonium Maryland (U.S. ) Fishing Expo Show. Myself, Tony Gascon and Pete Larmand are going to spent a least 6 to 7 days there. While we are there we are going to make a stop at the Bass Pro shop in Baltimore. Hope to come back with lots of goodies. I will take some pictures of our trip and will post them when I come back.
What ever happened to this show. Used to be full of dealers with lure making supplies and everything. Then about like 8-10 years ago...poof! Just wasn't the same. Very few bargains to be had.
