Constance Bay Ice fishing

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Constance Bay Ice fishing

Post by BIGEYES25 »

Hey guys,

This is my first winter in the Bay. Me and a buddy made a little shack with some scrap building material and some other recycled material. I don't know the water very well but figured the best way is to get out there, wet some lines and locate some fish. My place is quite the trek from both bay's(constance and buckhams) so I'm trying the point by the light house for now. found good structure (18 FOW with about 14 in of ice up to 11 FOW) my hopes aren't high with no other shack in viewing distance but its a stop on my way to possibly getting her to the bay. Any info on how much time I'm wasting would be grateful. Hoping to hit some gold but really want to catch and eat a LING this year! any tips could be traded for some cold beverages out there??

Thanks in advance,

Sounds like you're in a good location for walleye and ling,
the first break from shallow to deeper...8-14 fow.
Jigging spoons with a minnow head works well for both.
Be extra careful if you drag your shack over the Sand point near the Point,
hug shore. Some bad history there.
